Age of Conan Looking to Hit Gold for Game Developer

AC is the latest MMORPG offering from Funcom, the developer of previous games such as Anarchy Online.

In February of this year, Funcom had the pleasure to announce a Beta population register nearly half a million - one of the largest in the history of video games. Developer had some initial success with its MMORPG Anarchy Online, with good participation in the launch, but the inability to monopolize with future expansions. Land twilight, most notably the addition of the game, received critical success in various levels and rejuvenated the game to new levels found, but could not compete with the dominance of World of Warcraft.

Existing online MMORPG games are often criticized for being too far from the bloody tracks they are based. The elimination of blood and gore more widespread appeal is not what happens to Age of Conan.

Hyboria is not a world where good must triumph over Adversity, Age of Conan is different. Age of Conan is a dark world in which decisions are often difficult to make and the actions to be taken are mentally challenging. Hyboria is light years away from games like World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online.

AC provides a revolutionary combat system of sharply different standard Dungeons and Dragons systems like systems. This will pose a challenge for most players who are only familiar with the click and hotkey system.

AC could be one of the first major MMORPG episodes to go multi-platform, with implementation planned for at least one major console.Age Conan video game is truly one for the future and will be closely watched by all competitors.
