In world of Warcraft, what is the best pet for soloing from the new patch?

So with the new patch in wow what pet for hunters would you say would be the best pet for soloing? I'm a lvl 41 BM hunter. Other than a cat what pet would be best for soloing and for BM.

BM is a sweet build for any hunter. Pets now have their own talent points based on level so you can customize them. My own hunter was leveled in Classic, I used a cat all the way from 10 to 60, I used a ravager from 61 to 70 and now I am back to my cat and loving it.

He has just as much HP as a bear really and he hits hard and fast and holds agro fine and with mend pet being instant since 2.0 he is easy to keep up.

If you are a Night elf, there is no excuse not to use a cat cuz of shadowmeld and prowl on your cat.
