World of Warcraft WOW killing relationship?

My fiance is a huge gamer. He plays many online games - anarchy online, dark ages of camelot and now WOW.

He got me into playing it. I have played for 2 weeks. He has played for years. So he wanted to play together I said I didn't think that was a good idea because he is expert gamer and I am lucky to hit the right button, but he insisted. So we went into battle and he started getting mean telling me "thanks for saving me" sarcastically. Well my philosophy is that games are for fun...it was no longer fun so I got upset and told him I didn't like him being mean when I was doing the best I could and I logged off. Now he cancelled plans with his family isn't talking to me said I threw a hissy fit. Yes I did get upset in the game but that was the GAME! Why is he carrying it over to real world? I logged off and said i didn't like how he was being mean but that was in the GAME. Why is he taking this game stuff so real world?

Anyone?

Some people do have issues separating real life and fantasy. I doubt the entire problem can be nutshelled like that though. If you really want to know why he got angry, I suggest you ask him why he got so angry.
If he refuses to discuss it with you, then I think your relationship probably has more problems than just this disagreement about gaming.
On a side note, my hubby does not play WoW, but I do. I don't talk about my gaming experiences with him, and he doesn't ask (he truly has no interest in it.) My "game life" and my "real life" are two completely separate parts of my life. It works for us, but may not work for everyone.
