World of Warcraft Guide

Can anyone help me with my World of Warcraft? my old characters arent working!?

Ok...I play WoW and the new patch just cacme out. I have it downloaded and my charcters wont work. When i enter the game my character doesnt load and there is red question marks as my wepons and inventory. I went to the tech page worldofwarcraft.com and changed my speed to 110 Full duplex and even switched my "cheksum offline" to disable, and i talked to a GM and I did what he said: I renamed my folders and deleted my WDB By doing this It got rid of the red question marks. But in the game it still shows other people as Unknown, and i get disconnected in like 1 minute. Including that i cannot even chat when i enter the game. ANY WOW GM's that use yahoo answers if you could please help me or have any idea to solving this problem with my characters so i can play them. I have worked hard to get them were they are at. Please if anyone could help. Only reply if you know what you are talking about. Thank you

Not a GM, but have you disabled/removed previous add-ons that you might have been using? The scripting language for add-ons changed dramatically with the new patch, and none of the old add-ons are compatible.
