In this article I'm going to explain how to make gold for world of warcraft. If your like most players, you have your eye on certain weapons, armor, or epic mounts. If that's the case, you're going to need a whole lot of gold but the only thing is you don't want to dish out actual money to buy virtual money. Listed are the top 3 tips to help you collect this gold without having to buy it.

1. Auction House

The auction house is one of the most profitable ways you can make gold for world of warcraft. For those of you that aren't familiar with how to make gold this way, its when you buy items that are below market value and sell them for a higher price then what you paid them for.

When you're buying, I would suggest downloading the auctioneer addon. This is a helpful tool that will scan items in the auction house and list the items that are bargains. Before you start buying, take the time to scan items for about a week or so to get a feel what the value of certain items are. This way you'll know when you come across a great deal to taken advantage of, or bad deals to steer clear of.

When you do buy an item, place it in the auction house for at least 24 hours to give your item enough exposure. Also have a set price because most people are willing to buy items immediately. Set the price slightly below what the market is selling it for which will set your item apart from your competition. Once you sell and make a profit, take the money and reinvest in buying more until you have enough profit to buy the item you have your eyes on.

2. Farming

I'm a big fan of farming because it doesn't take any costs to do it - the gold you make is pure profit. For this reason its very popular and can be really lucrative. Eastern Tanaris is a solid spot to farm because of the Southsea Pirates. They can be found in the spot (72,44). I recommend farming these guys because they are really easy to kill (level 43-45) and they drop a lot of great items such as silver, silk cloth, and blue items.

Important Things To Note:

Although utilizing the auction house and farming are great are great way on how to make gold for world of warcraft, there is one drawback. Both these activities tend to be very time consuming. I've seen friends spend 90% of their time playing wow in the auction house scanning for items. Another friend of mine spends up to 14 hours of his day solely farming (I've had a similar experience). I don't know about you but I wanted to play the parts of the game that I loved, not be stuck farming or in the auction house all day long. I invested in a gold making guide and it's paid huge dividends. This is because they utilize tactics of chinese farmers.
