World of Warcraft Guide

I am trying to recall the title of a (old) PC game, can anyone help me?

The game is not so old between 3 and 6 years ago.
It is a strategy game.
similar to the likes of warcraft 2 or starcraft or age of empires.
it is set as you are a medieval Chinese general where you go capture territory.
I recall that you were zoomed in on your 'capital' and had to leave the 'capital' and travel across the land with your armies (that you built) along with siege weapons, whilst keeping them fed and rested using various travel camps that you had to set up.
when you reached an enemy 'city' it 'zoomed' in and you layed your siege.
you also recruited heroes or champions into your army as well, they would gain experience and have little quirks also.

it was a top down strategy game, graphics were ok but didnt require a graphics card, you gathered resources and built your armies etc...

I had a demo of it once and loved it, now i want the game but i cant remeber what it was called.
