World of warcraft druid problems?

I'm a noobie to WOW. I have a level 23 elf druid. It seems to me that it takes forever to cast spells and he runs slowly, even as a cat or bear. Gets killed every time very quickly against other classes at the same level. I added talent points to him so he can cast spells faster, but it is still too slow. Really bad in the battlegrounds. Any advice? I'd hate to start over.

What spells are you using? Wrath and moonfire are pretty fast casts. What kind of gear do you have? Balance is very difficult to start off in PvP with. Not enough kick to it.

As for walking slow, unless you have your walk enabled you'll be moving as fast as everyone else. If you're looking to move faster you're going to either need to get a run speed enchantment (which can be very expensive) or spec into Feral.

I highly recommend switching to Feral (you can respec by paying a small amount of money to your trainer).

If you're a feral druid you want armor that has STRENGTH, AGILITY, and STAMINA. Crit chance is also good but I don't think there is much if any gear at this level that does.

Instances you can run to get gear: Razorfen Kraul (southern barrens), Blackfathom Deeps (western Ashenvale), or Wailing Caverns (central barrens, just south of Crossroads).

If you're stuck on being a caster. Then just avoid battlegrounds for now. Keep in mind that the 19 and 29 bracket battlegrounds are full of "twinks". These are characters that people have spent a lot of time and money gearing up so that they are far more powerful than other players.

You're better waiting until your 30s to do battlegrounds.
