Directx problem?

i recently installed warcraft 3 and i did the crack and everything but it jst wont work! urgh its driving me insane it keeps bringing up a prompt: Warcraft III was unable to initialize directx. ensure thay u have directx 8.1 .....
but i have installed the latest directx and it still wont work pls help!? thanx in advance

Does your video card also support the required DirectX version?

Maybe the illegal download is corrupt or missing files.
