how many patches to start warcraft trial account ?

I downloaded WOW trial which took forever and every time I try to play it downloads a new patch. After two small ones the one downloading atm is 2.6GB - taking forever (around seven hours). Is this normal? And will there be loads more patchs after this one?

unfortunately it is n ormal. They release new patches all the time. So you are just catching up. The good news is once you do catch up, you won't have to worry about it for a while. I think when I reloaded the games last time it took 2 days. I just let it download then went to bed/work....
